"The Samsung UE40C7000 is the first 3D television to be released in the UK and one of the best things about this TV is that you don't have to switch to 3D immediately. The UE40C7000 is also an excellent 2D full HD TV, that you can use for 3D purposes as and when you want to. For example, you may not have the special glasses that you need to view 3D images.

The UE40C7000 features LED edge-backlit technology and is very thin at only 2.6 cm deep. It is incredible that such a thin, light TV features so much technology, thanks to Samsung’s technical and engineering skills.

Although it will take a little while for 3D content to be widely available, the Samsung UE40C7000 has the ability to upscale normal 2D images into 3D, which is an excellent feature. Whilst the results aren’t anywhere as good as an original 3D source, it is a good compromise for the moment.

As the UE40C7000 is so thin, Samsung have cleverly managed to add Special SCART adaptors which can be connected via HDMI add-ons, thus overcoming the problems experienced with previous 2009 models.

I have to say that I was extremely impressed after watching the 3D movie Avatar and watching the recent England v Wales football match, courtesy of the new Sky TV 3D service. I have no doubt that 3D technology is here to stay and will have a huge impact on the way we watch big sporting events like the World Cup and big box office movies. Even if you are not too bothered about 3D television add-on just yet, it is worth buying the Samsung UE40C7000, because you will be getting an excellent 40 inch LED screen that can be used equally well for 2D or 3D!"

....this is a fine set with state-of-the-art LED backlighting technology, it has Internet capabilities, Freeview HD built-in and the options of PVR and wireless functions. It's beautifully light and slim, and has a fancy remote control handset which will look good on your coffee table.
